Static Water Column

Q Why do I get an error or warning when I enter a static water column height greater than the saturated thickness?
A The static water column height really defines the penetration of the well.
  • In an unconfined aquifer, it measures the depth from the water table to the bottom of the well screen.
  • In a confined aquifer, it measures the depth from the bottom of the upper confining unit to the bottom of the well screen.

The value of this parameter should not exceed the saturated thickness of the aquifer.
