Glenn M. Duffield
Glenn M. Duffield is the founder and president of HydroSOLVE, Inc., a groundwater services firm headquartered in Reston, Virginia, USA. He is a senior quantitative hydrogeologist with over 35 years of professional consulting experience and the author of AQTESOLV, the world's leading software for aquifer test analysis since 1989. Glenn holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Juniata College and a master's degree in geology/hydrogeology from Penn State. In 2018, Glenn was the recipient of the NGWA Technology Award for his contribution to the groundwater industry in the development of AQTESOLV.
Glenn's specialties include expertise in the following areas:
- aquifer testing (pumping tests, slug tests and constant-head tests)
- groundwater flow and solute transport modeling
- software development
- continuing education for ground water professionals
Glenn is the author of AQTESOLV, which was voted the best software for pumping test analysis by groundwater professionals in a LinkedIn poll. Glenn is also directly responsible for worldwide AQTESOLV software support and education and training.
Glenn is also the developer of MOUNDSOLV, a software tool for the prediction and visualization of groundwater mounding from infiltration structures in sloping water-table aquifers, and FWD:SOLV, software for predictive groundwater modeling and stream depletion analysis.
Prior to establishing HydroSOLVE in 1995, Glenn was a founding member of the Geraghty & Miller (now ARCADIS) Modeling Group which was responsible for providing high-level groundwater modeling and software development services for the company.
